PHP|WYC has been born out of a desire to teach other people about PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor). The language as we know it today has been around for about a decade and has evolved from the most simplistic of languages to what it is now.

This website has two main aims for everyone interested in learning PHP.

• You learn PHP from the ground up, simply and easily
• You learn good programming practice to apply to any other language

As well as providing you with tutorials on everything from variables to basic encryption and object orientation, we'll also provide you with breakdowns on popular pieces of code such as tag-clouds, shopping carts and news scripts.

With this approach, you can learn the language from this website and learn how to solve problems using the code that we'll talk you through.

If you're getting bummed by PHP and you don't know who to ask - no worry, just ask me a question or post it on the forums. Every week, I'll be answering your questions and the most popular questions will result in a new article and code breakdown showing you how to do it.
